Seaside

We took our annual trip to Seaside with Josh's family and this time we stayed the whole week. It was awesome weather and not really crowded this time of year there. The drive down there was just peachy. Everytime Jay would finally go to sleep Elle would reach her foot over into his car seat and nudge him or just laugh really loud at her movie and wake him up! We had to stop at the Original Oyster House in Mobile and hit up the playground and eat.

Jay's first time to walk on the beach. I thought he would not be able to walk in the sand but boy was I wrong. He ran!

So Hurricane Issac came through a few weeks ago and thankfully it was not as bad as they predicted. Elle got a few days off from school but Josh and I pretty much worked through it since our jobs don't stop for a storm. Ha! Here's some pics of what we've been up to. A tree fell into our backyard during the hurricane and broke part of Elle's playset. She wanted to call Dr. Shook (her pediatrician) b/c she thought he could fix it! ha!

Elle and I were baking peanut butter cookies
By the time the weekend came we were stir crazy from all the rain so we headed to Ocean Springs to my parent's condo to check out the water damage there. Their condo is on the 3rd floor so the water didn't make it up that high thankfully. We went downtown to the "Blue Moon Festival". They had live music, food, and alot of fun!

We took the boat out to horn island. Their were water snakes in the water as a result of the hurricane. We caught 2 of them with Elle's net. Crazy
