Easter and Birthday girl

We had a pretty busy Easter weekend this year and Elle's birthday fell on Easter sunday this year. We had an Easter egg hunt at Canebrake on good Friday and then we went home to dye our eggs.

On Saturday morning the Easter bunny had already come and left new pool toys in the kids Easter basket. Then we suprised them with a trip to the coast to stay at the Grand Casino and swim in the heated pool. Elle got the choice of skipping her soccer game Saturday am and go ahead to coast or stay and go after soccer. That didn't take long to decide at all. My girl said skip soccer and let's go swimming!

After a couple of hours at the pool the kids wanted to go build sand castles on the beach so we did.

We went to have dinner at Mary Mahoney's where they brought Elle some tiramisu with a bday candle in it.

Birdie decided to have a throw down in Mary Mahoney's.

We woke up on Easter and let Elle open her bday gifts from us. This was one of her favs---Rainbow Dash pony that does back flips!

Then we got dressed and headed back to Hburg to church.

Sweet babies

We let Elle choose where she wanted to go for her bday lunch so she chose mexican where they brought her more dessert and sang to her. We ended up having several of her buddies over that night at our house for a shrimp boil and an egg hunt which I didn't get a single pic of. Her bday party will be coming up in a few weeks where we can celebrate my big girl turning 5 again!

Easter Egg Hunt and Palm Sunday

We had our church Easter egg hunt Saturday morning after Elle's soccer game. Pitty Pat and Grand Joe came for it all and got to participate. They had crafts for the kids to do and then the egg hunt.

They had the children split up into age groups to hunt the eggs and Jay dominated the 2 year olds!

The preschool choir performed in church on Palm Sunday. They were so sweet and cute and it melted my heart!

April

We've had sa busy month with soccer starting for Elle, getting ready for the dance recital, and Elle's birthday coming up in 1 week! The kids have been loving this spring weather and all of the flowers (weeds) in my yard.

We had dance recital photos made and Elle is the flounder from Little Mermaid in her tap dancing act.

Friday night a local acting/dance/singing company in Hattiesburg called Stagestruck put on a Dr Suess musical and all of the perfomers in it were children that attend Stagestruck. I bought tickets and suprised Elle and we went. She absolutley loved it! Now she's wanting to start taking classes there. She was wiped out on the way home.

Saturday morning Elle had her first soccer game. They have had 2 pracitces and I was beyond excited for this game. However, Elle HATES it! She sat on the sidelines and ate donuts and didn't want to go in b/c she didn't want to get kicked and hurt! She went in and ran around a little but never would touch the ball.
