Jay's 1 yr checkup

Took Jay to the dr for his 1 year check-up and here's his stats: 19.8 lbs(27%), 31.5 inchss(95%) and head circumference (58%). They measured his height with his shoes on so i think maybe that made him measure so tall? I didn't think he was 95% in height! Playing in the waiting room not knowing SHOTS are coming up:
He screamed during the shots but as soon as I was able to pick him up off of the table he stopped. He is NOT into the nurse or dr touching him--or any stranger for that matter! He got a sucker for being a good boy!

Birthday Boy

Jay turned 1 year old this Saturday. It was nice to have a weekend to stay in Hattiesburg and not really have any plans other than hang with the kids and watch MSU football on TV! Birthday boy
Getting ready to head downtown to "live at 5" and hear the music.
At Huddle House on his birthday getting ready to eat pancakes---his favorite breakfast!
Elle enjoyed her breakfast and mine :)

Seaside

We took our annual trip to Seaside with Josh's family and this time we stayed the whole week. It was awesome weather and not really crowded this time of year there. The drive down there was just peachy. Everytime Jay would finally go to sleep Elle would reach her foot over into his car seat and nudge him or just laugh really loud at her movie and wake him up! We had to stop at the Original Oyster House in Mobile and hit up the playground and eat.

So Hurricane Issac came through a few weeks ago and thankfully it was not as bad as they predicted. Elle got a few days off from school but Josh and I pretty much worked through it since our jobs don't stop for a storm. Ha! Here's some pics of what we've been up to. A tree fell into our backyard during the hurricane and broke part of Elle's playset. She wanted to call Dr. Shook (her pediatrician) b/c she thought he could fix it! ha!
Jay and Josh were cleaning up outside during the rain like this
Elle and I were baking peanut butter cookies
By the time the weekend came we were stir crazy from all the rain so we headed to Ocean Springs to my parent's condo to check out the water damage there. Their condo is on the 3rd floor so the water didn't make it up that high thankfully. We went downtown to the "Blue Moon Festival". They had live music, food, and alot of fun!
Pushing brother back to the car
Getting ready to watch the bulldogs on TV
We took the boat out to horn island. Their were water snakes in the water as a result of the hurricane. We caught 2 of them with Elle's net. Crazy

Jay Walks!!

So my little bird is now walking at 10 months old. Elle didn't walk until she was 15 months old so this is crazy to me. My babysitter actually caught his first steps on video here: My little muscle man
This sweet girl started ballet, tap, and tumble at Dancesouth a couple of weeks ago and she LOVES it. I really hoped she would like soccer b/c i played but that just isn't her style right now. She is a definite girly girl.
My mom and I played in a tennis tournament at Laurel Country Club and won our division which was 7.5 combo. Whoop Whoop!

9 month and 3 year checkup

This sweet fellow had his 9 month check-up a couple of weeks ago. His stats are 18 lbs (20%) and 29 inches (48%). His head was 65%. Dr says that dynamite comes in small packages!
This big girl had her 3 yr old checkup on the same day. Her stats are 31 lbs (46%) and 37.5 inches (48%). They don't measure her head anymore but I'm sure we would be off the charts :)
We found out at Jay's checkup that he had ANOTHER ear infection. This is #4 since May so my birdman had to get tubes! He was a little champ. Hopefully now everyone can be well.
Family pic at horn island minus Jay :( he didn't need to go out there with his new tubes so my mom kept him
