Fall Festival

We went to fall festival at canebrake this Sunday night. They had pony rides, jumpy houses, a dunking booth, games, hayride, pumpkin patch, cotton candy machine, and food for days! I don't know who had more fun---Josh or the kids! I couldn't get any of them to leave.

Field trip and the Fair

Elle's class took a field trip to Swan Creek Farms in Monticello, MS so I took the day off to go with them. They had all kinds of animals: Camels, Zebras, donkeys, goats, turkeys, chickens, parrots, hedgehogs, etc. They got to feed the animals and take a hayride to a pumpkin patch. Elle's favorite part was holding the ferrot. So fun!

They had this big tire swing merri-go-round that was so fun

We went to the Laurel fair that afternoon after the field trip. Poor Jay was 4 inches too short to ride anything but he wanted to badly. He stood at the gate of the rides watching Elle and wanting to get on. His daddy had to go buy him a corndog to enjoy while everyone else rode.

Elle and MC were "high on life" at the fair. You've never seen 2 little girls soooo excited about every ride. They have NO fear----especially when they are together!

Friday night Josh played in a spooky scramble night time golf tournament and Elle went to a "rock in" at Dancesouth so I got to have a date with this guy. We ate goldfish and watched Shrek the Third. Great night!

Jay's 2nd Birthday

We had Jay's 2nd birthday party at our house last Sunday night. It was a costume party with a jumpy house and lots of spooky decorations. We had chili, nachos, hotdogs, cake, and a GOOD time!

Elle invited a few of her buddies so she could catch up with them and play.

This was starting to look like Elle's party but there were about 15 kids there that were Jay's age but I never could keep them still for a group pic.

My brother got married this past weekend at the train depot in Laurel. Elle got to be a flower girl and she thought that was the greatest thing ever. She can be OCD sometimes and made sure those flower petals were all spread out just so!

My kids danced until almost 10pm! The band was really good and Elle kept requesting for them to play "Get your shine On". It was hilarious!

Jaybird got his first haircut. He had a sweet mullet going so it was time to trim it up. He was not a fan at first

His daddy got in the chair and then he chilled out and starting enjoying it

We've been working on Elle's manners at mealtimes so I made her a behavior chart. She loves trying to get the stamps each meal so it's actually working.

Seaside 2013

We took our week long annual trip to Seaside with Josh's family and had a blast. The weather was great. We got there on the Sunday before Labor Day and there were alot of people in town but most cleared out by the next day and we had the town to ourselves!

Watching the firework show from the 3 floor tower at our house
Matt brought some of these Chinese lanterns that you light and make a wish and then release them in the sky. They were way cool
We went to Baytown Wharf one day so the kids could ride the carosel, feed the fish, and play on the playground
Josh's mother brought this blow-up catepillar and it was a hit but we left it at the pool and came back and someone had popped it! Needless to say, Elle almost had a meltdown over this so her daddy had to run to dollar general and buy a giant Nemo to float on!
We were working with Elle on her dive and Jaybird couldn't stand it and had to show her up! There is nothing that kid won't do to be like his sister.
I got a photographer named Jessica James to do a portrait session in Watercolor while we were there so here is a few of the pictures. They were all so good it was hard to choose!
