Christmas Day

Santa came!
He ate his homemade peanut butter cookies and milk.
Birdie needs to live up to his name with these :)
Jay's favorite present by far was this broom and dustpan he is carrying around.  Elle's favorite gift was probably her scooter from Gigi and her helmet from Santa.
We got a big box of fireworks from Matt so we had to build a fire and try them out.  Elle trying to burn the place down with her Sparklers.
Jay and Tiger getting out of her way!
 I love these times!
Tuckered out and ready for bed.  Night Night.

We had the Myrick family Christmas at in Laurel and this is my grandmother with her 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren! She's super blessed!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, Josh's family came to our house to eat, open gifts, and go to the Communion Service at our church. The service was beautiful and ended with the lights out and everyone lighting candles and singing Silent Night. Jay loved his new tractor and trailer he got from Pitty Pat.
Opening presents with Pitty Pat and Grand-Joe.
He also got hooked up with a camo 4-wheeler from Uncle Matt and Aunt Jenni.
Matt and Jenni finally got to eat and open gifts while baby Zander napped!
Elle putting out her Reindeer Magic food in hopes of Santa coming!
So excited we had to look in the sky before bed to see if we could see Rudolph's nose.
Tiger the Christmas pup even dressed up for the occasion.

Christmas Fun

This was the Saturday night we were attempting to go to Zoo Lights but when we got there it was PACKED so we left.  The night wasn't a total bust because we got to go eat at Elle's favorite, The Mexican Kitchen.

My mom, Jay, and I got to go see Elle's Christmas program at her school.  They were all dressed in PJ's and she thought she was so cool hanging with her boyfriends here:  Elle, Conners, and Graham
They sang Jingle Bells and Santa Claus is coming to Town.  She was front and center putting on a show!
Elle and Charlie Kate getting ready to eat the party food!

A Visit from Santa

So last Monday night, we heard a knock at the door after dinner and Elle ran to the front door to see who was there.  She started panicking and screaming "momma Santa's here"!  It was so cute to see her so excited.  Jay also ran to the door to see what Elle was screaming about but this child stopped dead in his tracks and stood there like he had seen a ghost.  He couldn't even cry because he was in SHOCK and didn't know what to do!  Santa stopped in for a visit on his way back to the North Pole and dropped off a few Christmas happies.

Giving Elle the first present

Santa attempted to give Jay his gift but he was scared and clawing at my arm!

Elle opening her jump rope.  This was the #1 thing on her Christmas list and I have no idea why!

Yay!  A gingerbread house!
And YES we had to make the gingerbread house as soon as Santa left!
On our way to see the Nutcracker Ballet at William Carey.  Not really my scene but Elle loved it.
Elle and Mary Clayton ready to go in and looking cute
Elle and Wilkes after church this Sunday at Brunch with Santa.  Cuties!

Thanksgiving 2012

We had a good Thanksgiving this year.  I was off work from Wednesday till Sunday which is longer than usual so it was extra good to get to hang and relax with the family.  I didn't take any actual pics of Thanksgiving day b/c we went to see my family and celebrated on the coast and I was too busy watching football, eating, and chasing kiddos.  Here's some pics of Elle's program at her school.  They sang "If you're Thankful and you know it" and also "We eat Turkey" songs. It was cute!

Jay got to join in on the fun.  After they sang, a traditional Thanksgiving lunch was served and I don't think ANY of those kids were into green beans, sweet potatoes, or dressing so they all enjoyed feeding Jay their vegetables they thought were gross.
 Happy little Indian "Red Robin"
Jay ready to root on the dawgs against Arkansas!
Now onto Christmas but I sure am thankful for these 2 turkeys!

Jay can say Sissy

MSU vs A&M

Last weekend we headed to Starkville with Elle to go to Bulldog Bash on Friday and then go to the MSU vs A&M game on Saturday. It was sooo HOT outside but a good time except for State getting the tar beat out of them! Josh and Elle at Little Dooey's for lunch
Elle and Bully at Bulldog Bash
Elle and Addie Morreale at the tailgate
About to head into the game and BURN UP! It was soooo hot.
We had Elle's cousin, Caroline's birthday party on Sunday at my parent's house. She is now 5 years old!
Today was the first day to work with the new time change and I felt really sad picking Elle up from school when it was DARK outside. To make things worse I worked late and by the time I picked her up she was the LAST one there out of her class. She was helping her teacher mop the floor and apparently they had alot of "one on one" time together because her hair was all braided up.
Elle told me she was special because she got to help and hold the mop bucket and eat a kit kat. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! ha!

Trick or Treat

On Halloween we got off work a little early to dress the kids up and headed over to the Bounds house to meet up and trick or treat. We went to about 6 or 7 houses and these kids had way more candy than they ever needed! Jay, Elle, MC, Marley, and Wilkes
My sweet pumpkin and witch
Racing up to the houses
Amy and I trying to herd the kiddos
Meredith and I helped Jay and Jackson get in on the fun too! They both ate a sucker and thoroughly enjoyed it.
When we finished trick or treating we went over to the Sharpe house where they had about 50 people over and tons of food, a fire, and even made a scary house/trail out of their playset in the backyard. I was too busy eating and keeping up with my kids to take pics but it was fun. Jay found someone's canned rootbeer and downed it! Who knew he loved rootbeer?

Jay's birthday party

We had Jay's birthday party on Saturday and it was about 55 degrees and COLD. We still bundled up and had a good one though! We did a football tailgate theme and had nachos, chili, mini corndogs, candy, and cake. We built a fire outside and had a bounce house and all the kids never even noticed it was so cold! On Elle's first birthday party I feel like she was held the whole time but this was NOT the case with Jay. He was wild and all over the place chasing the older kids. Josh says he is the tazmanian devil....ha The Birthday Boy
Jay, Pitty Pat, and Zander
Grandaddy, Jay, and GrandJoe
Cakes
Caramel apples
Singing to the birthday boy. He was like "who, me?"
Group pic of the boys that will be in Jay's grade in school (minus Zander--he was napping) Hank, Byran Edward, Jay, Rob, Park, and Jackson
His first dumptruck! yeah!
