We went to Canebrake's 4th of July celebration where they had all kinds of good food, cupcakes, ice cream bar, cotton candy machine, jumpy houses, dancing, and an awesome fireworks display. Elle chose to go to Laurel to that firework show with her cousin Caroline so Jay got plenty of one on one time with mommy and daddy!

We went to Jackson for the weekend to Pitty Pat's house and to celebrate Zander turning 1. So mad I didn't get a pic of the bday boy

Ready for church

Elle went to 2 tennis camps in July. One was at Laurel Country Club and the other at Hattiesburg Racquet Club. I asked her what her favorite part was and she said to hit that ball really hard and then eat snacks. ha

Elle's friend Graham came over after tennis camp one afternoon and spent the rest of the day with us! They had a blast picking up worms off the bottom of the pool. Yuck. Graham was Elle's boyfriend for about a week and now I think he's just back to being a friend. Too funny

Elle has been wanting to go to Jackson and stay at Pitty Pat's house by herself (without Jay) so she got her wish at the end of July! They went to the movies, swimming, and had lots of girl time. I got to spend some time with Jaybird and he got to be an "only child" for a few days!

He's so sweet when he gets sleepy and wants to snuggle. I could eat him up!

Beach trip

We just got back from a beach trip with the West family and had a blast.

The girls rode all over the bay in this tube. They only let me ride with them for about 5 minutes and wanted me out so they could ride by themselves.

Birdie passed out for a nap. We got all 4 kids to nap on the boat one day. It was quite an accomplishment :)

The daddies set crab traps and we caught about 13 crabs and boiled them. They were good and the kids really liked them.

One night the kids got to eat ice cream at 10pm! It was like Christmas!

Sad to leave the beach and such a great trip!

VBS

The theme of VBS this year was "wild west" so the kids dressed up everyday in their gear. Elle loved it and was so sad it was over on Friday.

We had a wedding in Laurel the other night so I snapped a few cute pics in our yard before we left.

June

This month we were really busy but i never took my camera so this is definitely an iphone dump post. Not that there would be a difference otherwise b/c my camera is very affordable or easy to replace should i lose it :) Elle and Jay and went to school a total of 2-4 days this month b/c there was cheer camp, VBS, and Gigi/ pitty pat time! This sounds good but it really equals spoiled Elle (not much napping) and Jaybird still crying b/c he cannot get used to school.

We went to Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach for Josh's annual work trip. Birdie stayed behind with Pitty Pat and he thoroughly enjoyed himself and we took Elle. We had a great time with lots of eating out, staying up late, and no naps. Jay was missed and next year he will def be going!

On Father's day we went to our church in Hburg and then drove to Laurel to meet my family and Josh's parents at my parent's home. We ate some good food and hung at the pool. Daddy and his babies before church

Jay woke up after about 1 hr nap and finished the 2nd hour on Josh's lap while he watched the US Open. Josh was loving this b/c this child hasn't slept on us since he was 6 weeks old....great father's day present!

Elle told me that she and Jay were going to play "babies" in her room the other day. They were awfully quiet so I decided to check on them and this is what I found. Playing in her barbie makeup!

Cheerleader Camp

Elle attended her first ever cheerleader camp this week at my old high school, West Jones. She loved all of the teenage "big girl" cheerleaders giving her attention and she loved snack time. She learned a dance to a Miley Cyrus song, a chant, and how to do a spread eagle jump. I cheered from age 7 until age 18 so I was super pumped about her going to this camp!

My babies before church this morning. I got ready to take this pic and she burst out in tears and had a drama queen moment. I was trying to get her to stop crying and asking her what was wrong? She said she forgot to put on her earrings for church! Daddy had to run back upstairs and get her stick on earrings=====wow i'm gonna have my hands full when she gets older!

Doctor Checkups and Summertime

We had this big boy's 18 month checkup and shots and he is done with shots until kindergarten....YAY! His stats are 32.5 inches tall (37%), 22.8 lbs (36%), and head was like 70%! He is still crying when he gets dropped off at school and anytime we talk about school he says "nope". Hopefully this will improve!

This big girl went to the doctor as well and had her 4 year old checkup. Her stats are 34 lbs (48%) and 40 inches tall (50%). Dr said we could have go ahead and get her shots for kindergarten early but Elle had been having fever for several days so she couldn't get shots! I wouldn't have gotten those shots early anyways...yikes!

Elle and Jay have had a lot of quality time with Gigi at our pool this summer and loving it.

One day I came home from work and saw this sight in the road. Gigi, Elle, Jay, Wilkes, and Honey aka Mrs Suzanne had all spent the afternoon swimming and were headed back to my house. Gigi taught Wilkes how to swim that day!

Elle and Jay had their end of the year party at school. Here's a pic of Jay with some of his buddies. He cried shortly after this and didn't want to participate in his party so we had to walk down the hall to Elle's class party and he didn't want to leave! Guess he just wants to be in there with his sissy!
